Background
I've done this as an engineer, a team lead, and for eight years as CTO. I led the technical side of three enterprise SaaS products that held 500 million records and sent more than six million emails a month. Later I inherited a product with serious performance and reliability problems, helped make it fast and stable enough to grow, and stayed through a $20 million Series A. After that I built the data platform, workflow engine, and agent layer the product still needed.
The last two years have been AI on both sides: intelligence in the product, and AI-assisted engineering on the team that ships it, including taking an AI-written SaaS platform from production-risky to launched.

First, he is exceptionally technically capable. He can get to grips with almost anything, is technically fearless, and understands how choosing and applying the right technology can create enormous compounding advantages. He can provide technical leadership and mentorship to others and go from the smallest implementation details to the biggest architectural choices.
Secondly (and perhaps more importantly) he is deeply focused on the business value that technology creates. That combination is rare. Given a project, Benjamin won’t just build a well-crafted, maintainable technical solution; he’ll make the many hundreds of micro decisions and adjustments along the way that ensure what gets built is genuinely useful and valuable.
It’s this combination of technical ability and commercial judgment that makes Benjamin such an unstoppable force. The speed at which he can get a first version of a solution into users’ hands, learn from real feedback, and then iterate collaboratively is astonishing.
